Derek Butler Designs Ltd was incorporated in February 2013 following successful growth of the private practice operating since 2001.   Derek has worked on projects in a number of different sectors for a wide range of clients mostly based in the south west region.

The offices are located in the quiet hamlet of Brixton Torr in the scenic district of the South Hams on the edge of Plymouth, from where we offer services across the South West region. 

We utilize computer design in terms of traditional 2D architectural drawings in the industry standard of Autocad Lt as well as 3D computer model design using the award winning Archicad building information model design software.  In house printing facilities which output from A4 up to A1 ensures updates and additional copies of drawings are always quickly issued.

Derek Butler has over 16 years experience in private practice. He has a range of experience from simple extensions to multi-storey student accommodation.  With a breadth of knowledge in taking on more difficult residential extensions and renovation where cost consideration is important or where a more innovative approach is required to satisfy planning or building regulation requirements.
